I was thinking today what is my best. If my best is compared to others, then we limit ourselves to others. How many times do we base what we do upon what we think we will get for what we give, or because Joe over there only did this much that means I only will do just a little better then him.
All our lives we are either comparing ourselves to others, we are trying to be like an athlete or we are trying to like others, but maybe it is time to stop comparing ourselves with others and start allowing God to be our limit. It isn't about how much love I receive back, but it is about loving with NO conditions, it is about living with no limits. Jesus walked this earth and didn't say well they don't listen to me, so I can't love them, He loved them regardless, He spoke to them regardless of what they gave, He asks us to give regardless of how much we receive.
Isn't it time to stop allowing others to limit us and allow God to be our limit, because with God He is the only limit. We can not compare to God, but He sent Jesus to this earth so that we could learn from Him, so that we could walk this day, not because Joe made it, but because Jesus Christ showed us how to truly walk.
What is your limits? Are you willing to allow God to set the bar for you?
Isn't it time that we give all that we have, instead of basing it on others, base it on God. The bar has been set and we are to strive to that bar. Jesus set the bar.
