A New Chapter

I wanted to share with the people that read my blog, that another chapter in my life has begun. This time has been a journey for me, through hardship and struggles I have continued to focus on God. He has gone before me, He has opened doors and paved the way, yes there have been obstacles, but with every obstacle there has been a lesson, with the hard days there have been easier ones too. I can look back over the years that have passed and really seen the lessons in each storm, some storms last more then I want them too. After the storm there is the calm and in the calm reflection and learning. It is the whole lesson of not focusing on the storm, but focusing my attention on God. It is so easy to get lost in the storm, so easy to take my eyes off God, but in order to get through the very thing that I am struggling with, the more I rely on God the more I see Him carrying me through.

In all I have seen God's hand even in the hardships teaching me to embrace Him.

As you all know I have been dating a woman, her and I have grown closer and closer together. Yes we have had struggles, but even through them when we rely on God He brings us through, when we try and do it alone is the hardest thing. I believe God brought us together and I am excited to share that we are now engaged to be married. To be able to walk this life growing, learning, loving and sharing will be incredible. I don't know what tomorrow holds, but I do know who holds it.

I am extremely excited to do this right, I have shared the lessons about love, about all I have learned and continue to learn, God gets all the glory, I am but a tool. He has gone before us and He is with us walking and loving is. He teaches us how to love unconditionally, it comes down to our choices, do it alone or allow Him to lead. I want Him to lead and I want to see where God takes us next.

Love

Jesus died on the cross because He loved me so much, can you imagine choosing to die because you loved so much? He knew all the sins I would commit, but still He died for me, He knew that it would take me over 40 years to understand what true love really is and He knew that all and He still loved me so much He died on the cross for my sins. What an incredible example of the word LOVE.

How much do you say you love the one you are with? I have found that Love is so much greater then any 4 letter word. Jesus loves me unconditionally, He always has and He always will. He came to this world to teach us and then to save us from our sins. He made the choice to die and carry our burden, it was a choice, it was His choice. What a true example of a man, He was born into a human body, He walked and experience life and then He experienced the ultimate death, not only did He die on the cross for our sins, but God turned His back on Him, "My God, My God, Why have you forsaken me?" He bore our sins, He carried our weight, because He loves us that much.

Today do you have anyone you say you love? I know I do and I want my love to be not just a action, not just a word to say, but I want it to be so much more. It isn't just a 4 letter word, it is a choice to walk with that person, to love them unconditionally, to be there for them and to allow them to be there for me. It isn't about loving them more, but about loving God so much that the love I have for the people I say I love will just be radiant and obvious to those around me and for the people I say I love you too. Love comes to be something much greater then a feeling, it is a choice.

If you have off days, or days you do not feel like doing things, you will then allow love to be a choice to chose to love because that is what Jesus did for us. What an example for those around, what a witness and what a way to show love has no barriers, humans are the only ones that create barriers. Are you willing to love Jesus more? And by loving Jesus more you will be able to love those around you unconditionally. Isn't it time to love God's way? Your choice, just like Jesus had a choice.
