The Devil comes to rob, steal and destroy. The devil does not want us to find the joy of the Lord. The devil will do what ever it takes to steal every bit of what God has given us. The enemy will use anything he can use to get us feeling destroyed, but God has given us the truth to live by. When we start doing what God calls us to do, the enemy will try other measures and we need to be aware of him.
I think it is easy to think that the enemy will only use bad people, but the enemy uses situations. He wants to take us off our guard, he will use it to steal our hope to seeing what God wants from us. This is exactly why God says to give thanks in every circumstance, in everything give thanks. By giving thanks we are no longer focused on what the enemy wants to steal, we are focused on what God wants to use the situation for. Did that make sense?
The enemy wants us to focus on self, but God wants us to focus on Him. Do you wonder why all the new craze is focusing on self, self pictures, self image, self etc... That is the enemy taking our eyes off of God and focusing it on the only thing that the enemy wants us to focus on is self. The culture is self absorbed, focusing on what is right for me, instead of saying do unto others as you would have done unto you. That is the call of Jesus, but it is easy to get caught up in the self cycle, but the Bible is very clear that life CAN NOT be about self, but about God.
When we are focused on self, we are self centered and only care about what makes me happy, what makes me feel good, we blame everyone else for our issues, because we can't look at ourselves. God calls us to stop and be different then the world. A self centered person is not worried about what God thinks, because they can only say what matters to them, that is a sin, that is saying that they are more important than God, they are making their self focus an idol and what does God say about idols? What is idolatry? It is a SIN. Why is it a sin? Because it takes our eyes off of God and puts it on other things.
The enemy wants to destroy everything, marriage, family, friends, church, work and there is no limit he will do to do what he is purposed to do. Isn't it time to stand against the enemy? Isn't it time for a change? It has to be all about God, God at the center, God first, God has to be more important than self.
When we are focused on self, the enemy will use that as a tool to destroy not only me, but others in the path. When we give him a foothold in our lives, we open up the gates to what he will do. Isn't it time to close the door on the devil and start putting God first in everything? I mean EVERYTHING!!!
Through my life I have made countless choices, good, bad, happy, sad and so many more. Some choices we make may not be noticed, but others are plain as day. I want to share with you where I have been and maybe I can help others with the choices they make daily. We love to say we learn things the hard way, but does that have to be the case? I hope others can learn from my failures, my mistakes and just the lessons I have learned.

What Does God Call Sin?
God is clear in the word of God, the Bible what is sin and what isn't. When we displease God, we are in fact sinning. When we put our own ways before His, we are sinning.
In life it is easy to get ahead of ourselves, we are impatient, we want what we want and when we want it, but God is very clear that we are to wait on Him, we are called to be patient, to be thankful in all things, we are called not just to read the Bible, but to act on it.
Someone suggested that I make my blogs shorter, because no one wants to take the time to read them, because they are too long. People want it easy, people want things quick and to the point and I have to wonder if they think the Bible is to much to read as well. I am going to work on getting my point across in fewer words.
God calls us to Love Him the most and He says if you love Me, you will keep my commands. That is plain and simple, there isn't any grey area. If we are not loving God more than ourselves, we are not keeping His commands, we are in fact SINNING against the one that created us. Isn't it time that we confess our sins and ask forgiveness for them? Also, if we are not willing to forgive others that have done wrong to us, then God says He can't and wont forgive us.
If your relationship isn't deep with Jesus, look at yourself. You can't blame anything on anyone else, it isn't your spouses fault, your parents fault. Forgive and trust God. If your Bible is collecting dust and you have issues in your life, it is time to dust of the Bible and get on your knees and pray. Time to start walking the walk that we read about, that we hear about on Sunday's.
Change starts with being willing to admit I am wrong, not pointing out what others do wrong, look at you. Ask God to help, but you have to be willing to look inward and upward.
