It is FRIDAY

Seeing God in the miracles of every day life may be hard to understand, but the small things of beauty are there to show us His creations for us. Take a look and see what He made for you and Thank Him for it. Don't look to hard it is all around you.

Have a wonderful Friday and May you see the Blessings of God everywhere you look.

Additional Thought

One additional thought on the blog and many others...

Jesus did not say, do as I say, not as I do. We are to be like Jesus.

Do as I say and do as I do. It is in complete surrender does our actions line up with our words.

Complete Surrender

I was always under the impression if I just said I surrender that was enough. But then something that I wanted would crop in and I would do all I could to get it. It was when I stepped back to look at the whole picture did my perspective change. It is not just the easy or the hard things to surrender, it has to be all that we surrender. It is not my will, but yours Lord, it is not my way, but yours Lord, it is not my wants, but what you want me to have Lord. If you close a door, it doesn't mean I try and open others, because it is in due time that you will open the door for me. And if the door does not open, I have to trust you even when it is something I desperately want, I have to trust you even when it doesn't make sense, I have to trust you even when I don't want to.

Complete surrender means laying down ones will for the will of the one that created us. It means giving Him everything and stopping trying to force doors open. It is listening to even the hard things that others have said or are saying and acting on them. It is high time that we lay down our wants, desires and replace them with what Jesus wants in our life. It is not my will, but yours.

Our Father, which art in heaven,
Holy be thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy will be done in earth,
As it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
As we forgive them that trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
But deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom,

The power, and the glory,

For ever and ever.

Amen.

Jeoprodizing

Our lives are complex, we are busy about many things and it is so easy to lose focus of what is important, or even what we should be focused on. We put first things that I want, based on my desires. It is easy to allow the influences around us to say it is OK or that is acceptable, but when it comes down to it, is it really OK.

God has given us all that still small voice. The voice that when we are doing something wrong we hear it saying, do you really think you should be doing this, or maybe it screams at you, because we have avoided hearing it for so long. That voice is there to help you, to guide you, but yet we are afraid to listen to it. We know what is right, but we want to do things based on what we want and that will lead to a road of pain and hurt. God calls us to listen to that still small voice, that voice that has been given us, that voice that is there to guide us and we avoid it like the plague. Look back on your life, you remember hearing that voice. What situations have you gone into hearing that voice screaming NO... How did those situations turn out?

We are not alone on this journey, but yet we want to think we are the only ones experiencing this pain, this loneliness, but alas we are not. Others have walked this road before us and others have failed, but we can learn from their failures. Are you experiencing that still small voice deep within your soul? What is it saying to you? Are you listening to it? Or are you avoiding it?

It is time to stand, it is time to hear and it is time to do, for there is no better time then today. For today is all we have, take hold, listen to that voice and don't be afraid for if it is telling you that where you going is bad, walk away, don't just walk away, run away.

Today is a new day, let us rejoice and be glad in it. Don't fear it, for God is not a God of fear, but a God of sound mind. Time to take hold and listen.

Change only comes by choice and that choice is yours. No one else can make it for you, others may show you that it is needed, but it is still your choice. Allow the change to happen, strive for the change and you will be fuller and richer from it.

Have a wonderful day.

Foundation

If you look at those poor trees that topple over with time, you see that they are missing the key ingredient that an oak tree has. Do you know what that is? It is roots. An oak tree sinks it roots in deep into the ground, it is flexible and bends, but does not break. It sways as each storm comes, but the roots hold it in place and the flexibility of its trunk, branches let it sway. It keeps those in the branches safe, because the grand old oak tree stands, it give us an idea of how we need to be in life.

Our roots need to be sunk into the truths of the Bible. It is not just a book that was written years ago. We can pick apart the words, but the truths still stand. It is when we are able to sink our roots into the word of God that we will grow. If we stop reading, our roots will stop growing. Storms will come and uproot us, but it is when we are able to sink our roots in that we are able to grow.

Grow and let God show you the truths that you need today. Don't get lost in the storm of life, make a choice that even through the bad, that God is there with you. He is your father, He will comfort you and bring you the grace, the hope, the peace.

Don't be afraid to be an oak tree, sink your roots in today. There is no time like the present and that is all we have. God has given us a gift and it is wrapped up in the present. Take today and allow God to work in you. Don't be afraid for His work is far better then our work. His way is far more stable then our way. He is there for you and will be with you.

It is Easy

My words come easy, but to truly walk them out is another thing. It is so easy to say I know the decision to make, but when it comes down to it and the waiting it is not easy. We tend to say things without even knowing what we are saying. I am reminded of this daily as to not just say what first comes to mind, but to hold my tongue. It can't be about how I want to sound, but how I can shine the light of Jesus through me with how I am. It has to be about Jesus, not just 10% or even 75%, it has to be 110%. We need to put Him first in all we do and that isn't as easy as it may sound. I fail at this every day.

This weekend I have been reminded that it is a choice every single day to put Him first. To show His love not His wrath. As I went to a hockey game on Friday there was a man in front of the Blue Cross Arena yelling at people, telling them they were all going to hell, preaching wrath and damnation. We are called to be as Jesus walked the earth, He did not come to the world to damn it, but to save it. He did not spit in the peoples faces that had hard lives or that had sinned, He loved them. When He preached it wasn't to the rich and the church leaders, it was to the poor, to the sinners, to the tax collectors, He loved on them, He showed them the grace that He had for them. It is not my place to judge someone, but to love them as God loves them. Pray for them as Jesus prayed for them.

It is one step at a time, one moment at a time and trusting that God will show us the way. It comes down to a choice, are you willing to make that choice today? Not just today, but every single moment of the day. Thank you for opening the doors you want me to walk down and closing the ones you want me to walk away from. Thank you for your faithfulness each moment for me.
