This morning as I am sitting here at work, I was thinking about how the Bible talks about praying without ceasing. How does that look? If we think of praying as bowing our head and saying Dear Lord every time, well how could we get anything else accomplished throughout the day. I think prayer is a connection between us and God.
Prayer can be both formal and informal, it is when a thought comes into my mind and I say Lord, I love you and I lift my prayers to you. If a struggle comes in, it is acknowledging the struggle, but turning it over to God. I have heard it said before maybe one shouldn't say Amen until you go to bed, because during the day you are praying continuously. It is turning every thought captive to God, it is allowing Him to work not just in our lives, but in our thoughts and turning every thought over to Him.
My mind can run a million miles in a minute, all the worries, fears, struggles can come parading in and the more I give into them, the more they control my days, but the more I turn them over to God and say Lord, this is Your problem and I start admitting my struggles to Him, the more it seems He helps me. It is just like when we are willing to admit our struggles to our spouse, our significant other, because then it is no longer about "I", but about the Lord. It is turning them all over, even when we like the thoughts, because Lord it is not my way, but Yours, not my will, but Your will.
In and of myself I will fail, but when I allow God, He says all things are possible. The things I say I can't stop thinking about, well guess what that statement alone is an "I" statement and I am not allowing God. Allow God, bring every thought captive to Him and watch what happens. He will bring peace to the trouble waters of my mind and He does.
Through my life I have made countless choices, good, bad, happy, sad and so many more. Some choices we make may not be noticed, but others are plain as day. I want to share with you where I have been and maybe I can help others with the choices they make daily. We love to say we learn things the hard way, but does that have to be the case? I hope others can learn from my failures, my mistakes and just the lessons I have learned.

Life Changes
God has been faithful to continue to reveal Himself, even in the struggles of life, even in the situations that He has brought my way, He has been faithful to provide a way through it all. Each day the more I try and do things on my own, the more things fall apart, but when I give them to God, He orders my steps, He brings me the peace I need. He gives me each step and it is exciting to see that even in it all that God has been faithful.
My fiance and I have moved up the date in our marriage. We are excited that God has been so faithful, to us meeting each other, to just how He has ordered our steps. It is easy to look at the things of the world and say all of this mounts up against us, but in that all God has been faithful. We have learned that we must take things one day at a time. When we try and look to far down the road it becomes cloudy and uncertain, but in it all if we allow God, He provides a way. God says take one day at a time, for the future will take care of itself. Why worry about things you can't control, but today allow God to control what is right here before us.
Today are you struggling with a certain things? Are you worried about tomorrow and all that it may bring? Stop and say Lord I surrender it all to you. When the disciples asked Jesus how to pray, He gave them this prayer:
Matthew 6:9-13
It is God's will that needs to be done, not our way, but His, surrender the struggles to Him and allow Him to change you, to make the changes that are needed, for it is not of myself that I can do things, but through the strength of God. His will, His way, not mine. For I will fail, but He will not, for God is the Alpha and Omega, He has never failed and nor will He ever fail. Trust in Him even in the uncertainties of life, for He is the way, the only way to get through them. He will provide, there is nothing to great for God. The harder the climb, the results will be out of this world.

"9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
10 Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen."

Yippeeeee, I am getting married and the future is not certain, but God holds it all. His way and will not mine be done.
