Crown Him with Many Crowns

Crown Him with Many Crowns

1. Crown him with many crowns,
 the Lamb upon his throne,
 Hark! how the heavenly anthem drowns
 all music but its own.
 Awake, my soul, and sing
 of him who died for thee,
 and hail him as thy matchless King
 through all eternity.

2. Crown him the Lord of life,
 who triumphed o'er the grave,
 and rose victorious in the strife
 for those he came to save.
 His glories now we sing,
 who died, and rose on high,
 who died, eternal life to bring,
 and lives that death may die.

3. Crown him the Lord of peace,
 whose power a scepter sways
 from pole to pole, that wars may cease,
 and all be prayer and praise.
 His reign shall know no end,
 and round his pierced feet
 fair flowers of paradise extend
 their fragrance ever sweet.

4. Crown him the Lord of love;
 behold his hands and side,
 those wounds, yet visible above,
 in beauty glorified.
 All hail, Redeemer, hail!
 For thou hast died for me;
 thy praise and glory shall not fail
 throughout eternity.

This is the song I woke up singing this morning. We need to put God back on the thrown of
our lives and crown Him as our King. He lives and came to set us free. Isn't it time that we allow Him to rule over us and let our words be pleasing to Him, let our actions and our thoughts also be pleasing to Him.

He is risen. He is risen indeed.

Isn't it time to see Him as He is for you and I. Take Him out of the box, take Him off the shelf, He isn't just here for the bad times, but for all the times. He isn't here just for Sunday's, but every day.

Verse of the Day:
Luke 9:24 "For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for Me will save it."

Love Never Fails

God's love never fails, He doesn't give up on us. It is something that is definitely the most amazing thing. God is love, God is hope, God is joy and so much more. I don't think we can fathom all God is, but the greatest of all these things is Love. Love never fails, because God never fails. When we look to Him to be our source of it all, we no longer need to rely on our own strength to pull us through, because He never fails.

Have you put limits on God through words and doubting? God is limitless, we can't fathom all of what God can do, but it is easy to think that God will not do something for us, because. Guess what God has no limits to what He can do and I believe Paul in his writings saw this very truth. Do you put God in a box? Do you struggle with the thoughts that you are not worth it?

Today where are you getting your strength from? Are you pushing through work just because you have to or are you asking God to order your steps? He is not just our source of unconditional love, but our source of strength. He calls us to die to ourselves so that we may live for Him, but that dying is not just a one time choice, it is a moment by moment choice, because it is hard to put or human self to death and live for God. I think Paul got this and wrote about it. At the beginning of writing Paul was a sinner, he talked about how he did things he did not want to do and it was a constant struggle, but God. At the end of his life he said what a terrible sinner I am, I am the worst of the worst, but God still loves me. He acknowledged that he was not a good man, but Jesus came to save him from himself and that his relationship with Jesus Christ was a personal relationship. Jesus was his best friend and not just that, but his Savior and Lord. He knew without Jesus he was nothing.

Where are you in life? Are you willing to admit that you are nothing without Jesus Christ or are you still trying to use your own strength to be something? We will grow tired and weiry, but God will give us the strength to make it through. Let God be your source, allow Him to take the reins and lead your day. Don't put God in a box, for He is limitless, we put the limits on Him, what limits are you putting on Him today?

Isn't it time to allow God to be God? Take Him out of the box you created for Him and allow Him to rein.

Have a wonderful Thursday.

Faith

Hebrews 11:1 "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."

Have you ever talked to God to ask for something, but when asking for it you are actually doubting it can ever come to pass, or that God of all God could do such a small thing for you?

I have and I was thinking about the very fact of faith and how it applies to me today.

Faith is much like love, if we hold onto it and never try it, we can never learn what God has for us. See love isn't love until you give it away, because love is not just a feeling, but a choice. Just the same thing as faith, faith is nothing unless you actually act upon it.

We may not be worth Jesus dying on the cross, but He has made us worth it, we are His children and we are His, if I don't make it true for me, then I will not see what He has for me. I have to believe in the very thought that He would give me something worth while and worth it, because He loves me. He is giving me His love, He is giving me life and in Him, He is giving me hope and so much more, but first I have to be willing to except that He did this all for me, for the sinner I am, for the man I am who has let Him down time and time again, He still loves me and in that is the hope that I can love unconditionally just as He loves me.

Who am I that He would love me so much, He knows the number of hairs on my head, He knows even when one falls out, so to He knows when I am full of anxiety and fear, or I am of little faith. With God anything is possible, we are the limit for with God there are no limits, He is Limitless.

Today, take a moment to reflect upon your faith, do you doubt the very things that God has given you? Do you question why? Today stop to thank God for all you have, thank Him for right where He has you, change your perspective from doubting what He has given you, to be thankful for all you have. When we want to change, but don't know how, seek God first in it, ask Him and have a little faith that He will change you, don't allow the devil to say you are worth it, God says you are. Change starts today with you.

I believe if God can change me, He can change you. Remember when Peter walked on the water, when he began to doubt, he started sinking, today trust right where God has you and have a little faith and see where it will take you. God is in it all.

Why Do We worry

This last week I was reminded of a song my Grandfather use to sing. He would sing it all the time. I remember hearing him singing it in church or even just during the days. I woke up singing this very song today:
His Eyes Are on the Sparrow

Why should I feel discouraged, why should the shadows come,
Why should my heart be lonely, and long for heav’n and home,
When Jesus is my portion? My constant Friend is He:
His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me;
His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me.
Refrain:
I sing because I’m happy, I sing because I’m free,
For His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me.
“Let not your heart be troubled,” His tender word I hear,
And resting on His goodness, I lose my doubts and fears;
Though by the path He leadeth, but one step I may see;
His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me;
His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me.
Whenever I am tempted, whenever clouds arise,
When songs give place to sighing, when hope within me dies,
I draw the closer to Him, from care He sets me free;
His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me;
His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me.

If He watches a sparrow and knows when they fall, how much more He knows about you and I. God is in control allow Him to work in every situation.  He can do it.
