The Lie

Today, I was thinking how the devil wants us to believe his lies, that is the way he gets us to stop our focus on God. He will feed us with lies and make us feel not worth it, or that we are all alone. The devil wants us to think that we are the only ones that struggle with things and God is saying don't listen to him, he has come to destroy you. Isaiah 26:3 says "You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You." When we stop focusing on what the enemy says and start focusing on what God ways, it will change our perspective. Don't go through today thinking you are alone in life, because you are not. Don't focus on that feeling, focus on what God says, He says that we can walk through the valley of death and He will be with us, if we can walk through that, don't you think that we can walk through our day with the knowledge that God is our strength and our tower, He is there to protect us, to guide us and to help us grow. Don't give in to the lies of the enemy, you are not alone.

Philippians 4:6-7 "6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Pray today, trust and obey, for there is no other way. Don't let the enemy of our minds win, for today is a new day, it is your choice to allow God or to give into the enemy. Stand, because Jesus is right by your side.

The piece of grass in the picture is all alone in a sea of water, but it is standing, it is reaching towards heaven in the same we should. Don't give up because of the devils lies, stand and say I am worth it, I belong and walk in it. Proverbs 3:5-6 "5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; 6 in all your ways submit to him,|||| and he will make your paths straight."

Today is worry and doubt filling your mind, it is time to trust in Him, don't think you know how to get through it, trust God to carry you through it. Don't try to control God, surrender your will to Him, what you want to Him, because in doing that it is no longer about what I want, but what He wants and He will make my path straight. But I have to TRUST, Seek Him, Surrender and allow God.

Are you trying to tell God what to do? Are you saying this isn't for me? Instead of saying that, say Lord your will be done, I surrender this to you. No longer is it about what you want, but what He wants and above all, trust and allow Him to straighten what is not clear. He will, He says it, I believe it and it settles it for me. Do you believe it?

Psalm 23:4 "Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me."

Matthew 6:33 "But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."

God Will Not Let You Stay Stuck.- Graham Cooke

I wanted to share this with whomever, I thought this was really good. How often do I doubt God? I know I have in the past, but God is in the situations that I may go through, I just have to be willing to rest in what He is doing, it is in His time, not mine. He knows and He is in it all. I have to trust in Him. This message last Sunday was about Worldviews and how God has to be the center. The pastor talked about Proverbs 3:5-6 "5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.6 In all your ways acknowledge him,
and He will make straight your paths.

And how easy it is to just want Him to make my past straight or even for me to try to straighten it myself, but He says: Trust in the Lord with all my heart and lean not on what I may know or think I know and in all my ways surrender to Him, die to myself and then He will make my path straight. It is easy to think I don't need to do the first 3 things and expect the last, but He has given us a way, we just need to trust in Him and do and He will make our path straight.

His way is so much greater than my way. Trust, obey, surrender and He will make a way.

My thoughts...

God Will Not Let You Stay Stuck.

By Graham Cooke
When we understand how God interacts with us, our lives are transformed. We are able to see what God is doing in us, and what He is doing through us. And we no longer confuse the two. We’re able to spend time in His presence receiving revelation, guidance and love.
But this is not usually an immediate experience. Waiting on God takes patience, because there is a perfect time for everything. “To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven,” as Ecclesiastes 3:1 reminds us.
We have to resist the urge to doubt God when things take longer to happen than we want or expect. “Nothing’s happening,” we whine sometimes. “Am I even in the right place?”

I’ve discovered the more impatient I am, the more God slows things down.

He’s like a watched kettle — He never boils when we’re in a hurry.
So it’s important we remember to live in Christ, not our circumstances. He is our rest and peace. We cannot benefit from trying to apply peace to our life situations. Peace comes from the heart, not the head.
Peace is relational, not circumstantial.
Rejoicing and true thanksgiving produce peace and rest. That’s because giving thanks from the heart will always overpower anything negative. Rejoicing from the mind gives only a temporary relief, but rejoicing from the heart changes our lifestyle.
Thanksgiving is not casual; it’s an experience of the Lord’s joy that liberates us to rejoice. Joy is the abiding atmosphere of Heaven, and so it changes our internal atmosphere permanently.

Joy is who God is; rejoicing is our response to who God is!

We can abide in joy, simply because He does.
Peace and rest become a lifestyle that emanates out of our internal abiding atmosphere. Do not just visit the nature of God; live in Him. Abide in Him, and He will abide in you ( John 15:1-11). Peace and rest are the consequence of abiding, and they are a part of our inheritance— HE is our inheritance.

God wants us to be constantly moving forward in our faith in this truth.

We are called to walk a path of spiritual maturity, so we must grow up in our understanding of waiting on Him. He has made more provision for us than we can possibly imagine, as we read in 1 Corinthians 2:9, “No eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor has it entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”
But to inherit His gifts, we have to live in Him. We must enter the place He has set aside for us in Christ. The goal of all our gatherings is to establish each of us in that relationship with Jesus. We have a personal responsibility to the Holy Spirit to learn how to abide and stay in Christ, and then the rest follows.
