Acts 17:28 "For in him we live and move and have our being.' As some of your own poets have said, 'We are his offspring.'"
Jesus made us, He made me, He is transforming me moment to moment. He is making me the man that I need to be, the husband, the father and is teaching me from glory to glory. His grace is sufficient for me. 2 Corinthians 12:9 "But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me."
My blog is about the choices I make, it is also about how I see life, the things I may go through or the things that I may hear. I share them with you, because maybe I can help others by what I have learned or am learning. I believe that I may lead someone to the water, but I can't force them to drink it. God has given us people that write books to show us the way to live, just like He has given us doctors to help us live and medicine to make sure that we have the ability to live for Him. It is easy to say I must experience it first, but I think that it comes down to our choices, do I want to learn from whom God has given me to learn from or do I want to go through all the troubles on my own? I chose to learn from who He has placed in my life, books, teachings, etc.
God has given us so much, but am I willing to just be lead to the water or do I drink it too? I want to drink of His living water, I want to experience the truths that He has placed before me and I want to share those truths with you, just the same as the books, the movies that I have placed on here. I can't be about what I think is best, but it must be about what Jesus says is best.
In the bible it says: Proverbs 1:7 "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction." Did you get that? The fool despises wisdom and instruction, but those that fear the Lord. Psalm 111:10 "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; all who follow his precepts have good understanding. To him belongs eternal praise."
Proverbs 4:6-7 "Do not forsake wisdom, and she will protect you; love her, and she will watch over you. The beginning of wisdom is this: Get wisdom.Though it cost all you have, get understanding."
I tell you this, you do not have to go through things and struggles that other people have written about, you can learn from them. God gave us those people to encourage us, to help our lives, to build us up and so that we may be free to learn other lessons and share those with other people. Isn't it high time that we start learning from those people that have experience things that we are going through? Stop trying to do it on our own and start learning from those who God has put before us. Just like the Bible was given to us to teach us, I believe that God has given us teachers, preachers and more to help us along the way. Don't be afraid to use them, you don't have to repeat the same lessons that others have gone through.
