Have you grown tired and seem to feel you can't go on? I know in my lifetime I have gotten to places and said I don't have the strength to continue moving forward. I allow the devil to come in and whisper lies to me about how I was not suppose to be here or doing something I knew was right, he will has told me that I am to weak to continue and the lies continue. The devil is right in one sense, that in and of myself I can't continue, but when I am weak, Jesus is strong, because no longer is it my way, but God's way. In 2 Corinthians 12:10 "That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong." I must rejoice in my weakness, I must thank God for my weakness, because it can't be about me, but about Christ who lives in me. That is why in James 4:7 it says "Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." Because when I say God I submit myself to you and I am going to resist the lies of the devil, because it is Your way and not mine, it is Your strength and not mine, it is Your love and not mine. It is easy to think that the devil will just lie to us, but he will use our weakness to make us believe his lies.
My life verse is Isaiah 40:31 "but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." The Lord will renew my strength, it therefore is not my strength, but the Lord's strength. I will grow tired and weary, but He is always there. My strength will wither and fade, but God is the same yesterday, today and forever. It can't be about me and that is the best thing of all, not my strength, but Yours Lord.
If you are in a spot in which you feel that you don't fit or don't have the strength to continue, God has you there for a reason. He wants you to not rely on yourself, but to submit to Him, surrender and say Lord I don't have the strength, the wisdom, the power to do this and then He wants us to rely on Him, His way, His truth, His wisdom, for it can't be about us, it must be about Him. Remember when we are weak, He is strongest, because no longer is it about my way, but His way.
Through my life I have made countless choices, good, bad, happy, sad and so many more. Some choices we make may not be noticed, but others are plain as day. I want to share with you where I have been and maybe I can help others with the choices they make daily. We love to say we learn things the hard way, but does that have to be the case? I hope others can learn from my failures, my mistakes and just the lessons I have learned.

Action
My Christian walk takes doing and not just words, it takes action. Yes, I can go to church once a week, but does that build my relationship with Jesus Christ? No, it is a moment by moment walk with Jesus Christ that transforms me.
If I am to be like a child when it comes to being a Christian, lets think about how a child is. Can a children feed themselves, no they need to be fed, the parents make meals, provides for the child, instructs them in when they need to go to bed, brush their teeth, teaches them moment by moment. That child is just a child and needs to grow up in the understanding of what it is. The parent is the representation of what it means to be grown up. Just the same way as Jesus teaches us what it means to be a Christ follower, we need to learn from Him. It isn't just a once a week happening, it needs to be more, because just as a child, they need more time with the parent, then once a week. A child would starve to death if all they got was one meal a week, but yet as a Christian that is all some feel they need, is one meal a week.
It makes more and more sense to me why Jesus said we need to be like little children. We need to want to learn, we need to hunger for the truth. I remember when my son was growing up, he would ask me why does this work, why does that work, what is that for? How many times are we seeking the truth from God just like our kids sought the truth from us?
Can we do some simple calculations?
Brushing our teeth: 2 minutes, 2 times a day = 4 min. a day = 28 min a week = 1 day a year
Sleeping: 8hr a day, 56 hrs a week = 48.5 days a year
Going to Church: 1.5 hrs a week = 1.3 days a year
Reading the Bible: .5 hrs a day = 3.5 a week, = 3.03 days a year
Computer/Phone: 2 hrs a day = 14 hrs a week = 12.13 days a year (Probably low)
Praying???
Our Christian walk takes action, we need to invest our time into the truth of God, we need to be willing to read and it takes doing, it just doesn't happen. It is easy to think that I would have the desire to do it, if it was meant to happen, but the truth is, we do not have the desire to do it, because we are born into sin, we need to do it, because it is what honors God, not wait to have a desire. We need to act. That is so true in every area of our life, I don't feel like going to work, but I have to do it, so I must put action into it otherwise I will sit at home and do other things. In marriage we may not feel like it, but to honor our spouse, we must put action into the word love. This plays out in every aspect of life, without action we will grow apart from everything, grow further away from God and just the same way grow apart from our spouse, our kids, our friends, without action we are just a word.
