Foundation

If you look at those poor trees that topple over with time, you see that they are missing the key ingredient that an oak tree has. Do you know what that is? It is roots. An oak tree sinks it roots in deep into the ground, it is flexible and bends, but does not break. It sways as each storm comes, but the roots hold it in place and the flexibility of its trunk, branches let it sway. It keeps those in the branches safe, because the grand old oak tree stands, it give us an idea of how we need to be in life.

Our roots need to be sunk into the truths of the Bible. It is not just a book that was written years ago. We can pick apart the words, but the truths still stand. It is when we are able to sink our roots into the word of God that we will grow. If we stop reading, our roots will stop growing. Storms will come and uproot us, but it is when we are able to sink our roots in that we are able to grow.

Grow and let God show you the truths that you need today. Don't get lost in the storm of life, make a choice that even through the bad, that God is there with you. He is your father, He will comfort you and bring you the grace, the hope, the peace.

Don't be afraid to be an oak tree, sink your roots in today. There is no time like the present and that is all we have. God has given us a gift and it is wrapped up in the present. Take today and allow God to work in you. Don't be afraid for His work is far better then our work. His way is far more stable then our way. He is there for you and will be with you.
