Who is in control?

In our life the one thing we fight for is control. We control our kids, or even work situations, we try and control everything, the traffic, the other drivers and so on. But when we are called to surrender control to God it is probably the hardest thing to do.

I don't like feeling like I am not in control of what will happen, for example me and roller coasters... I am strapped in, I can't control anything, I have to trust this thing to take me up the hill and bring me back to the place I started. We place our trust in God, but then we want to be in control of the outcome, we want to control what He is saying to us, we want to control it all, but God says trust in Him. It has to be His way, no matter how difficult, no matter how hard.

Allow God to be in control and stop fighting Him. It will be difficult, even scary, but by saying Lord Your way and not mine, your truth and not mine, your peace and not the worlds peace, we see Him take what the devil meant to destroy, God has turned around for His glory. This has been so true in my life with the addictions, what the devil used to destroy me, God is turning around to build relationship, build trust, to build a solid foundation, not on lies, but on complete truth.

Take the step today and allow God to work in you and so He will be able to work through you, through the situations in your life to bring glory to Him. It can't be about me, but about Jesus first, then others, then myself. He is the only way and truth, He is the only way to heaven.
