Today

Today is the first day of the rest of your life, today is a new day and let us rejoice and be glad in it.

I am reminded time and time again how the devil comes to rob, steal and destroy. The devil will try all the tactics he knows, he will remind us of our human side, he will tell us we are not worth things, he will cause us to doubt and worry, but God is with us. He is our strength, He is our Rock and strong tower. He has gone before us each day. When we walk together with Him and acknowledge our strength is not our own, we surrender to Him.

This is not to scare you from making a choice to allow God to change you, but it is to tell you change is hard, growth is hard, but man it is worth it. The devil doesn't want us to grow in Christ Jesus, he wants to keep us lost in our own worlds, he wants to fill us with doubt and cause us to worry about everything. God is not just the God out there, He is our personal God. God calls us to have a personal walk with Jesus Christ. Jesus is our brother, our friend He is there with us and to walk before us. He loves us so much that He died for our sins, not because we deserve it, but because He loves us.

Is love reaches past all our wrongs and today, if you are walking the casual Christian life and you want change to start, it can only start with you. It is easy to look right and left and say if they would change this would all be better, but the truth is that God calls us to completely surrendering ourselves to Him, that means the change must start with you and me. It must start for us to grow and when we allow Jesus to be our foundation and our Rock we are surrendering our very walk to Him, surrendering not just 99%, but we have to surrender it all.

Today pray with me if you want to begin the change. Lord, I come before you and I ask that you will start changing me. You will start the good work in me and that you will continue purifying my life and continue showing me area's in which I am not surrendering them to you. You are my Lord and my King, you are my friend and my strength and I will rest in you. Help me along the way to righteousness and give me the strength to walk with you closer and deeper. Thank you Lord for all you do, in your name I pray. Amen
