Today

There are many verses about today in the bible. It is so easy to forget the word of God when we talk about today. We look at it as another Monday, as another day to go to work, another day to live, but really what does today hold? We don't know, we know our busy schedules, we are busy about many things, but what is the one thing we should be steadfast in doing? Resting and knowing that God is God and He will provide. When times seem tough, He is the one that will carry us through. When times are easy, it is easy to forget all we have learned from the past days.

Psalm 18:24 "This is the day the Lord has made;We will rejoice and be glad in it."

It is so easy to think today is just another day, but guess what God made today, He made it for you, He has gone before us and is with us.

Matthew 6:25-34 "Do Not Worry

25 “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? 26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27 Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life[e]?

28 “And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. 29 Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 30 If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith? 31 So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’32 For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."

God is good and His mercies endure forever. He has gone before us and is with us, we should rejoice and allow God to work, for if we try and do it on our own, we will only grow tired and weary, but rest in God and He will give us strength. Have you ever tried so hard to do something on your own, but can't get it done, but when you rest in God He gets it completed. Allow God to set your schedule, when you get up, say Lord today is your day and I want to rejoice and be glad in it, but I am struggling to accomplish all that I have, Lord please guide my steps and allow me to walk according to your way, not my own. See we can get lost in our ways, but His ways are much better then our own. Isn't it time to walk in His ways? Not just in the morning, at meal time, but all day long. Allow Him to guide you and your time and His timing is so much better.

Today praise Him where ever He may have you, thank Him for the storms and allow Him to lead. More of Him and less of me.
