A New Chapter

A new chapter in our lives have begun. Yesterday I was married, we turned up the time tables a little, but everything works out for a reason. God is faithful and in all the things that happens around us, He continues to establish Himself in our lives. It is easy to look at everything as a negative, but harder to see the positive. In the word of God is says: “But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good....”   Gen.  50:20

It is easy to look at how the enemy tries to pull us down and destroy us, but just so God is working everything together for good for those that love Him. Our focus must remain on God, we must seek Him first in all things, not just the little things, but in all things.

This new chapter will have it's ups and downs, but in it all God will be faithful, if we continue to seek Him. We must allow His love, His truth and allow God. His way is the right way and even in the struggles, it is the only way. I must be willing to lay my life down for my wife, for the kids, just as Jesus did for the church, it is so easy to say yes I will do that, so much harder to do, but don't say it unless you are willing to do it. Our words must be examples, just not just be words, but must be what we believe. Today ask God to give you the strength to allow the words of your mouth to be pleasing to God.

I took the Couragous pledge yesterday and updated it. I hope I don't get in trouble for that, but this is what I read for my wife and kids:

THE
RESOLUTION
I DO solemnly resolve before God to take full responsibility for myself, my wife, and my child
and stepchildren.
I WILL love them, protect them, serve them, and teach them the Word of God as the spiritual leader of my home.
I WILL be faithful to my wife, to love and honor her, and be willing to lay down my life for her as Jesus Christ did for me.
I WILL bless my child and stepchildren and teach them to love God with all of their hearts, all of their minds, and all of their strength.
I WILL train them to honor authority and live responsibly.
I WILL confront evil, pursue justice, and love mercy.
I WILL pray for others and treat them with kindness, respect, and compassion.
I WILL work diligently to provide for the needs of my family.
I WILL forgive those who have wronged me and reconcile with those I have wronged.
I WILL learn from my mistakes, repent of my sins, and walk with integrity as a man answerable to God.
I WILL seek to honor God, be faithful to His church, obey His Word, and do His will.
I WILL courageously work with the strength God provides to fulfill this resolution for the rest of my life and for His glory.

As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. ---Joshua 24:15
