"Lord Over All"

"Lord Over All"

In the valley of the unknown
I will lift my voice
In the shifting, in the shadow
I know You are with me

Lord over all
You will be my rescue
You will never fail
Lord, through it all
I will choose to trust You
You will never fail

In the searching and the waiting
You quiet my soul
In the stillness of Your presence
I know You are with me

Out of this darkness
Into Your promise
You will deliver me
Eternal Savior
You stand forever
You are my victory

I listen to a message on Sunday and some of it had to do with worrying, today I heard another message about the same thing. It is so easy to worry about today, tomorrow or even next week. I believe Jesus wants us to throw all of our cares on Him. He doesn't want us to worry, because even in it all, He is in it. We seem to take Him out of it, because worry is about self, it is about what can I do to get through this, or I have such a busy schedule next week. Instead of it being about Jesus it is about self. When we say Lord you know what today, tomorrow, next week will hold and I give it to you, please guide me through it all. I am giving it to Him, when I take it back and start worrying again, that is called sin, because I am not trusting God, I am having little to no faith, because I say Lord I can do it better than You. Faith says that He can do it better than me. He wants us to turn to Him in everything, not just the bad, but also the good.

Isn't it time to do it God's way? We have seen what worry does to us, we get stressed out, it effects our marriages, home, families, but when we give it to God, He will work it out. Yes, it may seem like He isn't, but is that faith? He is saying do you trust Me? And that is when we must say Lord yes, I trust You. Take a look at Job, he didn't give up on God. How many times have I given up on God and tried to do it myself?

Change starts with you, take the first steps to trust God today. Stop worrying about what you can do and start trusting God in what He will do.

Have a blessed day!
