A New Day

Today is a new day. If you are reading this, God has given you today to live, to breath and another day to serve Him. The more we allow Him, the more He continues to work in us and when He works in us He will work through us, but sometimes there is so much garbage in our lives, that it is better when He works in us to remove the garbage and then His light shines more completely through us.

If you look at a mirror that has garbage and filth on it, it still reflects the light, but it is distorted and not shown and clean and clear as it could be. God wants to clean us so that we can spread His light, we can reflect the light He shines on us more clearly. We can try and clean our mirror, but we will just smear it and make it look worse. But when we allow God to clean our mirror what we reflect is not our own love, but His love. What we allow Him to do is a deeper work in us to fulfill His great pleasure in us and then through us. What better way to walk, then to allow Him to clean the mirror of our lives so that He can shine more fully in all that He has for us and through us.

Today it is a choice that we make, the choice may seem simple, may seem easy, but when He starts to clean the garbage we have to submit, to surrender all to Him. Make the choice to allow Him to clean your mirror.

Lord, today I want to shine your light so that others do not see me, but see you, see your love for them through me. Lord, please clean my mirror so that others will see more of you and less of me. Let this choice not to be just when times are easy, but in all times. May you continue to change me and continue to allow me to grow in you and through you. Thank you for giving me another day to experience you, to live for you and to allow you to clean my mirror so that I may reflect your love, your truth and your wholeness. I love you Lord.

Today it is a choice that you make. I heard this on a sermon. If I was arrested for being a Christian, would there be enough evidence to convict me? Is there enough evidence to convict you?
