Love in its truest sense is not based on feelings, but a determination to show thoughtful actions, even when there seems to be no reward. Don't just follow your heart, you have to lead it. Our hearts will love whatever is easiest, in marriage it isn't always easy to love, but LOVE IS A CHOICE. Make the right choice today.
This is very difficult to do, when the result does not seem to be doing anything. I have been reading a book about love and reading a book about His Needs, Her Needs. The person that wrote the book says that it is generally the wife that has to make the first changes in order for the husband to change the marriage. I have to wonder why that is, if the husband is the head of the house, why he can't do the changing first.
It is time to rise up men of God, time to take leadership in the home, time to take responsibility for your own actions and stop waiting for the wife to make the first move. It is time for us to change, not ask our wives to change first. God instructed us to be the head, just as He is the head of the church, it is time that we fight for our marriages, it is time that we fight for what is right and true, no longer waiting in the shadows, because the only thing in the shadows are hurts and pains.
What are we waiting for men of God? Time to rise up, take a stand today and each day. Take a chance to make a change, change does not happen over night, but it will happen. Allow God to change you and in doing so watch what happens, it will take time, but God is God and He will see you through. Get into His word.
The Bible verse for today is: Proverbs 3:3-4 "Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. Then you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man."
