Peace

 What is Peace: 

noun

1. The absence of war or other hostilities.
2. An agreement or a treaty to end hostilities.
3. Freedom from quarrels and disagreement; harmonious relations.

Peace is something we don't talk much about, because who doesn't have Peace. We don't have war physically, but we have war in our flesh. We tend to forget that Peace within is so important. The Bible talks about Peace a lot, but the one main scriptures that comes to mind is 

John 14:27 "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." 

We look at this verse and think oh God has given me peace, but what does that mean? I don't feel it, I feel overwhelmed by everything going on, I am anxious. Have you have said any of those thing? If so, you are not alone, there are so many people walking an unable to feel the truth of what God has done, because they do not believe the truth of who God is. That is the main point. I remember when my Mom was still alive, she would always say, do you believe, do you truly believe. There is so much truth in that statement that it gets beyond us, we miss it. If we believe but we do not truly believe we get full of the anxieties of the flesh. We miss what God has done, because we do not truly believe in the whole thing. We miss it because we do not believe. 

Belief is believing in what we can't touch, what we can't see. It is easy to believe the the grass is green, but what about what color the moon is? We only see it in pictures, are the pictures real? Belief comes in all different sizes and shapes, but believing in God comes in one. You have to believe in the whole portion of the Bible, not just pick and choose for what is good for you. Do you truly believe that God has come to save YOU? That is the biggest thing? Do you know why He has, because He loves you so much. He sent His son Jesus to die for us. It may not make a lot of sense, but the truth of the matter is, we are here because of Him who sent us. Why? I don't know, but He does and trusting in Him, means that all the other things do not matter, but what matters is Him. 

That is where the rubber hits the road, if we truly believe in God, if we allow Him to rule our lives, than what things can hold us back? What? Ourselves you say, but God said we must deny ourselves and trust in Him. Today, who are you believing in? Is it yourself, are you filled with anxiety, depression, stress, (NO PEACE)? Know God, know peace, really believe in who Jesus is to you today and put to death the fear and anxiety, because Jesus came to free us from ourselves.

Easier said than done, but belief is a choice we have to make, it is a true choice and only you can make it. No one can make it for you.
