"Our Road map starts with our mission, which is enduring. It declares our purpose as a company and serves as the standard against which we weigh our actions and decisions.
- To refresh the world...
- To inspire moments of optimism and happiness...
- To create value and make a difference."
Why are we going through life without a mission statement for ourselves? God put us on this world to do what? Was it to merely walk around like zombies waiting for the next big chance, make millions of dollars, have a fortune for ourselves.
Our lives are not defined by what we do, but who we are and if we define ourselves by the job we do, well then we have lost the meaning that God has intended for us. He wants us to go deeper in Him, not to be surface Christians, because what we do is here today and gone tomorrow, isn't it time to seek the truth about life? Is it time to come up with a mission statement for your life? I know it is time for me to do this and time for me to live by it.
Last week I talked about the life verse and how that impacted me, but now we learn that a life verse isn't just about life, but about our missions statement as well. I think the concept is incredible, because in 1 Peter 3:15 "But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect," We should be prepared to give an account for what we believe. Are you prepared? I fall short on this and it time that I can give an account for what I believe no matter where I am.
Stay tuned and I will give you my missions statement.
