Searching

If you are searching for anything, it is easy to miss what is right in front of you. Have you ever lost your keys, the more you look for them, the more irritated you get, but when you finally come to the realization that they are only keys, you have spent a lot of time and energy getting upset. If you had just said Lord help me find the keys, you change your focus from the keys, to God. Once the perspective has changed, your keys for some reason are right in front of you and you are able to see them. Have you ever thought, man I could have sworn I already looked there... I don't know if that is just me, but I know I have had that happen more times then I would care to admit.

When you are lost, stop looking for the right way and start looking God's way, He will guide you, but when you are looking through your eyes you will only see the fact that you can't see straight, that you can't find your way, because you can't. Are you exhausted, try God, He is tireless and limitless, allow Him to change your perspective.

I know it is easy to try to make it up the mountain on my own and when hard times come, I want to do it, but I fail time and time again and when I finally allow God, I have tired myself out doing it my way, instead of doing it His way. His way is much better then my way, in fact the bible verse that comes to mind is Isaiah 40:30-31 "Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; 31 but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
" Are you tired of getting nowhere on your own? Try God's way, His promises hold true.

Where do you find yourself today? Are you tired and weary? Change your perspective from Horizontal to Vertical, look to God, He will give you what you search for. The song that came to mind today:
Great is Thy Faithfulness
“Great is Thy faithfulness,” O God my Father,
There is no shadow of turning with Thee;
Thou changest not, Thy compassions, they fail not
As Thou hast been Thou forever wilt be.
“Great is Thy faithfulness!” “Great is Thy faithfulness!”
Morning by morning new mercies I see;
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided—
“Great is Thy faithfulness,” Lord, unto me!

Summer and winter, and springtime and harvest,
Sun, moon and stars in their courses above,
Join with all nature in manifold witness
To Thy great faithfulness, mercy and love.

Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth,
Thine own dear presence to cheer and to guide;
Strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow,
Blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside!

Is it time to allow God and stop trying to do it on our own? He will be faithful to carry us through, we just have to look to Him, not just in the big, but in ALL.
