God calls us to throw (cast) all our cares on Him, not just the big things. So many times I find myself full of anxiety over the little things, you know one little thing is one thing, but when they add all up, they begin to become a very big lump of mass that just weighs me down. I believe that is why He says throw them all on Him, cast them to Him for He cares for me, He wants me to be free from the ways of the world. The world tries to do it all on its own, but God says trust in Him, He will take care of not just the big things, but the little things as well.
Let me explain. My wife and I have been looking for a dresser for her daughter. We have searched all the usual places, but either to expensive, not good enough for the money they wanted and the list went on for the reasons. On Friday my wife prayed about it and although she might have thought that the prayer was so insignificant, she still gave it to God. Saturday morning both her and I prayed before we went to a garage sale. Yes, it seems so small to ask God for a dresser, to ask Him for help on that, but there is no prayer to small for God.
We got to the garage sale, outside it looked like not much was there and could have been just a drive by, but with faith we got out to take a look. Inside the garage was a dresser marked at 20 dollars, this dresser could have been sold for well over 100 dollars, but it was marked at 20, we walked out of that garage sale with a dresser and night stand paying only 20 dollars for both. That is a God job, He is in it all, we think that our little prayers are insignificant, but He says they are all significant to Him.
Luke 12:7 "Why, even the hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not; you are of more value than many sparrows."
