The Blame Game

Romans 12:2 "Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect."

I have written about this over and over again, because I believe that we are called to stand and give account for our own actions. I must take the responsibility for my own actions, it is my choice to react one way or another. When I blame others for my own failings, I am no longer taking the responsibility that God has given me for myself. It is so easy to say I got angry, because someone did wrong to me, but that reaction is a choice that I made. Today the world blames others for what the choice they make, they say that they are doing it because of someone else, they are not taking the responsibility for their own actions. This is very dangerous and is a lie from the pit of Hell. God gave us the freedom of choice, He gave us the ability to know right from wrong. We know that we are wrong, but it is so much easier to say well I did it because they made me, or even better yet the devil made me do it. Isn't it time that we stand up for our own actions, we take responsibility for what we have done?

Today it is time to stand up for ourselves, it is time to take the responsibility for our own actions. It comes down to choices, stop blaming others and start saying Lord what can I do to be who you call me to be. We will not be able to say Lord someone made me do it, He will say Geoff it was your choice and if I say that it was someone else am I really looking at myself or am I more concerned with the speck in my brothers eye than the plank in mine?  Matthew 7:3 ""Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?"

Romans 5:1-5 "Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God. 3 Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4 perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5 And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us."

Ephesians 4:31-32 "Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you."

Luke 6:31
"And as you wish that others would do to you, do so to them."
